Urban Nexus Associates have also developed and delivered ten week bespoke training programmes to run co-operative businesses covering strategies to help individuals run their businesses through self-management.  These areas cover history of the co-operative movement, identifying skills available/needed, business planning and premises, marketing, beginners book-keeping, finances, VAT and PAYE, legal structures and writing business plans.

 Urban Nexus has many years experience in the field of social enterprises and co-operatives.  The principle Associate of Urban Nexus started his career in Rochdale, the home of the Cooperative movement in the late 1980's.  He has steered the development of and has provided training to numerous workers and community businesses, across the country, ensuring that social enterprises play an important role in helping to deliver high-quality public services, neighbourhood renewal and sustainable development, which are all high priority for the government and the public alike.
